Making Housing Affordable and Accessible

Housing in Florida has become increasingly out of reach, whether you’re trying to rent your first apartment or buy your first home. Rents are rising faster than incomes, and homeownership is slipping further away for too many families, especially young people and first-time buyers.

I believe housing is foundational to stability, and we must treat it that way. That means increasing the supply of affordable housing, protecting renters from unjust practices, and creating real pathways to homeownership. We also need to hold bad actors accountable, particularly large investors who are driving up costs and pricing out local residents.

Florida should be a place where people can build a life, not just struggle to stay afloat. We have to take bold action to ensure that housing is accessible, affordable, and fair.
