Meet RaShon

RaShon Young's story is one woven into the very fabric of House District 40. A proud graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, RaShon cultivated his leadership roots on the historic grounds of one of Florida’s most beloved institutions. It was there that he honed his voice—not just as a student leader, but as someone committed to standing in the gap for others, understanding early that leadership is about service, not self.
After Bethune-Cookman, RaShon did more than build a career—he built a mission. Working in the higher education space and beyond, RaShon understood that true leadership meant rolling up his sleeves and getting to work where it mattered most: right here at home. He chose to invest his talents back into the community that raised him.
Here in Orlando, RaShon has been a steadfast advocate for community, equity, and opportunity. As a proud Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he has organized voter registration drives, mentorship initiatives, and scholarship efforts designed to lift the next generation. His work with the NAACP has positioned him at the forefront of the fight for justice and civil rights, championing causes that ensure every voice is heard, every neighborhood is valued, and every young person has a chance to dream big.
This isn't just about politics. It's about people. It's about possibility. It's about building a brighter tomorrow for every family in District 40.
